The Lancaster Church of the Brethren may not be the first place that one thinks of when considering attending a classical concert. But with its annual monthly Starlight Tea Concert Series, it should certainly be in the running. The diverse series kicks off Saturday night at 7 with a performance of chamber music by the newly formed Trio Clavino. The trio features Doris Hall-Gulati, principal clarinet in the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, based in Philadelphia; violinist Simon Maurer, Concertmaster of the Schuylkill Symphony Orchestra and Assistant Concertmaster of the Pennsylvania Sinfonia; and pianist Xun Pan, who has performed in concert halls from Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York City to China's National Center for Performing Arts. Future Starlight performances include the Essence of Joy Alumni Singers; Due Solisti, Zofie Vokalkova and Kathleen Scheide; The Starlight Epiphany Concert; mezzo-soprano Sarah Daughtrey; the Juniata College Concert Choir and the Hershey Handbell Ensemble. An offering will be received at each performance. For details, visit www.lancob.org.
